ANDRÉ BALLABEY TAKES OVER THE TOP SPOT!

Thanks to a runner-up finish in Race #4, veteran racer André Ballabey, from Saint-Michel-de-Napierville, Québec, has taken over the lead in the King of the Tour championship standings.

André now holds a 699-point advantage, roughly equivalent to three round wins, over his daughter Noémie Ballabey. Noémie, who led the championship following the opening doubleheader weekend, now sits in second place.

Footbrake racer Éric Monaghan, from Québec City, remains in third place after scoring the victory in Race #3. Sacha Leblanc, from Valleyfield, Québec, also found the winner’s circle during the most recent weekend and moved up one position, from fifth to fourth.

Positions five, six, seven, nine and ten all feature new names inside the Top 10. Martin Lassiseraye, Cody Levasseur, Fred Angers, Stephen Ballantyne and Dominic Germain all made their way onto the leaderboard following strong performances.

Defending series champion Brandon Barker dropped from fourth to eighth place after the most recent race weekend.

A closer look at the standings shows that the Footbrake racers have the advantage through the first half of the season, occupying six of the Top 10 positions. Dragsters currently have the fewest representatives, with only two racers inside the Top 10.

Heading into the biggest event of the season, the Bracket Bonanza, the championship remains wide open. Only eight round wins separate the current leader from the racer sitting in 30th place!

The biggest movers following the latest weekend were:

📈 Félix Ballabey: Up 34 positions, from 46th to 12th
📈 Mike Chenier: Up 32 positions, from 52nd to 20th

The biggest drops were:

📉 Andrew Stirk: Down 39 positions, from 13th to 52nd
📉 Don Vincelli: Down 30 positions, from 7th to 37th
