LATE PUSH FROM BARKER SECURES THIRD CHAMPIONSHIP – THE WAIT IS OVER, BALLANTYNE WINS IT ALL

Brandon Barker entered 2025 as the reigning Super Tour National Champion in the Super Pro Dragster category. A couple of weeks ago, he made history by becoming the first racer ever to win three Super Tour National Championships.

Barker, from Smiths Falls, Ontario, went on a late-season tear, earning two wins and two runner-up finishes with his championship-winning entry, plus another win with his second entry, which finished 5th overall.

He dominated the Bracket Bonanza in August, taking the win on Saturday and finishing runner-up on Sunday. He then returned at the Fall Bracket Championship to sweep both days, and capped the season with a runner-up finish at the final race of the year in Napierville.

Barker accumulated a total of 9,900 points to claim the title by a margin of seven rounds over his closest rival. He now stands as the winningest racer in Super Tour history, with 9 wins, 3 National Titles, and ten consecutive Top 10 finishes over the past decade.

DOOR CAR CHAMPIONS – TEAM LANCTÔT

After finishing 4th last year and 3rd in 2020, Daniel and Alex Lanctôt finally climbed to the top of the Super Pro Door Car standings. The father-and-son team from St-Eustache, Québec captured their first Super Tour title thanks to two semifinal appearances and a runner-up finish during the mid-season stretch.

Their 8,600-point total placed them second overall in the combined Super Pro standings, in a Top 10 loaded with former National Champions.

PHIL HARVEY – CONSISTENT EXCELLENCE

Finishing 3rd overall is arguably one of the most talented racers of the last five years, Phil Harvey from St-Calixte, Québec.

A former Wild Horse Rodeo competitor turned bracket racer, Harvey began winning immediately after joining the Super Tour. He finished 2nd in his first full season (2022), won the Super Pro Dragster National Title in 2023, and placed 8th in 2024.

This year, Harvey returned strong, putting both of his entries in the Top 10, finishing 3rd (8,200 points) and 7th (7,200 points), highlighted by three semifinal finishes and one win.

With only four full seasons of Super Tour competition, Harvey already ranks 3rd on the all-time wins list, with seven main event victories and an average race score of 800 points per start.
