With picture-perfect weather, the SUMMER BRACKET NATIONALS, presented by J&S COLLISION and CLARMO AUTO REPAIR, were held at Luskville Dragway from July 3 to 5.
More than 110 competitors showed up for the first of three Super Tour weekends of the year.
Friday’s Super Pro Gamblers Race saw Luskville Dragway’s own FRANK ANGERS take the win over Russ Adams of Ottawa. Angers was .017 on the tree, took .014 at the stripe and ran dead-on 6 to seal the victory. Event sponsor Jamie Clarmo was the lone semifinalist in the race.

In Footbrake, Rookie of the Year candidate SACHA LEBLANC of Valleyfield got the job done after finishing runner-up at the first Super Tour race of the season in Napierville. Leblanc defeated Russ Fraser of Brockville, Ontario, in the final round. Heavy Hitter Martin and Matt Lamoureux, aboard his snowmobile, were the semifinalists.

Saturday featured RACE #3 OF THE KING OF THE TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP.
In Super Pro, former champion KYLE JESSUP of Renfrew, Ontario, battled through a tough field to earn his FIFTH CAREER SUPER TOUR VICTORY and his first since 2020.
Jessup defeated Luskville Dragway’s own Fred Angers in a door car versus dragster final. Angers had the advantage off the starting line but gave the stripe back to Jessup at the finish, allowing the dragster to take the win.

In Footbrake, ÉRIC MONAGHAN of Quebec City earned his third career Super Tour victory and his second win of the season by defeating Yvan Grenier of Malartic in the final. Monaghan was .056 on the tree, took .054 at the stripe and ran dead-on 7 to secure the victory.

The final day of the Ogilvie Performance Summer Bracket Nationals was a hot one, but the BALLABEY FAMILY continued its dominance this season. Father André met his son Félix in the final round of the SUPER PRO $5,000-TO-WIN RACE to close out the weekend.
This time, the student schooled the teacher. FÉLIX BALLABEY posted a perfect reaction time and took .014 at the stripe to score his FIRST-EVER SUPER TOUR VICTORY. Ashley Ogilvie and Dale Gauthier were the semifinalists.

In Footbrake, the always-tough Martin Lassisseraye of Quebec City faced “The Electrician,” FRANK “THE TANK” MASTRO of Montreal, in the final round. Mastro earned the victory at the starting line when Lassisseraye turned on the red light by only two thousandths of a second. Martin Patry and Rob Sugrue were the semifinalists.

In Saturday’s Junior Dragster competition, it was LOGAN ANGERS’ turn to shine as he picked up the win over Katie Adams, who turned on the red light at the start. Logan secured the second victory of the weekend for the Angers family after his father, Frank, won Friday’s Super Pro Gamblers Race.
Logan Angers returned to the final round on Sunday for a second consecutive day but had to settle for the runner-up finish as NHL prospect COLE KROTTNER scored the big win.

The next Super Tour event will be the BIGGEST RACE OF THE SEASON. A triple-header program will be held on JULY 31, AUGUST 1 AND AUGUST 2 as the 45TH ANNUAL CARLYLE TOOLS BRACKET BONANZA takes over Luskville Dragway!
